PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS ( TECHNICAL DEGREE)

This Scheme is implemented by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)  for providing assistance for advancement of Girls pursuing technical degree education and for “Empowering Women through Technical Education and also to attempt to give an opportunity to  young women to further education and prepare for a successful future.

Following are the details to grab this scholarship for the year 2022

Scheme Name: PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS ( TECHNICAL DEGREE)

• Scheme Closing Date:  Open till 31-10-2022
• Defective Verification: Open till 15-11-2022
• Institute Verification:  Open till 15-11-2022

Scholarship Eligibility

1) The girl candidate should be admitted to First year of Degree level course
OR
Second year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE
approved Institution of respective year.
2) Maximum two girl child per family are eligible.
3) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during
the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by State/ UT Government
need to be enclosed.

Scholarship Amount

• Rs.50,000/-per annum for every year of study (maximum 4 years for first year admitted students and maximum 3 years for second year admitted students)

Selection Criteria

On the basis of merit of qualifying examination to peruse the Technical Degree course from any of the AICTE approved institutions

Reservation

• As per Government of India reservation norms

Renewal of Scholarship

• For the next year of study the scholarship will be renewed  by submitting passing certificate/marksheet
• and letter from the Head of the Institution

Procedure for applying

• Apply only on Online mode
• The candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions are required to apply online on National
  Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in/)
