About Shodhganga
Shodhganga is full-text electronic repository of doctoral theses/dissertations submitted to the universities for award of Ph.D. As per UGC Notification (Minimum Standards Procedure for Award of M.Phil./PhD Degree, Regulation, 2009/2016) it is mandatory to all the researchers and academician who doing PhD to submit electronic version of their PhD theses to the respective universities into a national repository with an aim to facilitate open access to Indian theses and dissertations to the academic community globally. Hence it is found that, in 2017 the Shodhganga the largest repository of PhD theses in India. Currently more than 500 Indian universities contributing their research (PhD. thesis) data and near about 600 universities make their MoU with Shodhganga.
Shodhganga Repository
The Shodhganga@INFLIBNET is specially designed and developed by using DSpace open source digital repository software to store and maintain the record of the thesis and dissertations in electronic form with their bibliographic standards. DSpace also supports “Open Archives Initiative’s Protocol for Metadata Harvesting” (OAI-PMH) and uses Dublin Core schema for its metadata creation and management.
